October was a busy month around LPC. We elected new officers. Groups have been busily creating things for the Craft Fair coming up on November 17. The Deacons provided Manna—a gift of food for the body and soul on Wednesday nights. The Christian Education Committee (and many, many others) planned a fun fall festival for the family on October 28! We gathered up nickels every Sunday to help the Holiday Coalition to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for those who might still be hungry even here in Loudoun County. And, the PNC has been diligently listening to sermons, trying to hear the voice that will lead us into the future.

The Stewardship Committee did their very best to let you know the many needs of this church. Your pledges for the coming year are still being counted, but until we have heard from every member of the congregation it cannot possibly be enough. Pledge cards and envelopes will be available in the narthex during November. Please ask an usher if you still need one. You may put it in the offering plate, or mail it into the church office. Please let us know that you are willing to put a portion of your treasure into this community—because where your treasure, is, there your heart will be also.
