An adult shepherd who gets to know each child and
shares in the Bible stories tends these tribes. Theses tribe ‘travel’ to
different stations where they experience a different part of the Bible story. These stations rely on teaching through the theory of
multiple intelligences- or the ideas that children learn in different ways. The tribes experience the
lesson through: Storytelling, Arts and Crafts, Puppetry and Drama, and
Food/Video/Games. There are 8 themed units this year that are taught over a
4-week period. They are: Jacob & Esau, Joseph and His Brothers, Joseph in Egypt,
Christmas Around the World, Zacchaeus, Mary Magdelene, Easter Around the World,
and Paul: Who can be a Christian?
