Providing music for meditation at the beginning and end of services
Nurture and Care

As part of our commitment to nurture and care, we are called to reach out to help meet the spiritual, physical, and educational needs of others in our local and global community. Toward that end, we will:
Create an environment in which people know they are valued and needed
Be constantly aware of changing community needs
Involve all ages in hands-on forms of service
Develop a small group ministry, including support groups and common interest groups
Establish mission budget as a high priority
Sponsor cultural and educational programs

Actively presenting our church throughout the community as a fellowship of Christ's people
Following through with visitors and prospective members
Encouraging and supporting the involvement of the less active members of our congregation
As part of our mission of Evangelism, we are called to be a point of light for the youth in the church and the community. We will demonstrate our commitment through:
Involving youth in all programs, making them an integral and valued part of the congregation
Supporting the youth, so they feel excited and challenged by the entire congregation
Offering youth social activities combined with service and mission
Extending youth involvement to include youth from outside our congregation
Utilizing trained, dedicated youth and family leaders
Providing expanded music programs that are more inter generational and instrumental
Tithing
We are called to give regularly and proportionally the first fruits of everything - time, talents, and money - in support of God's call to our vision and mission. We will demonstrate our commitment by:
Educating ourselves on the meaning of the Biblical tithe through literature, worship, and church school classes for all ages
Conducting a concerted campaign of how our tithes are used and how tithing helps, including a yearly tithing theme, regular updates, and witness of positive experiences of tithing
Following up promptly on new member questionnaires and time and talent surveys

Opportunities for families to learn together
Short-term adult Bible studies
Issue focused Bible studies
Participation in Bible studies with other congregations
Seasonal Bible studies (Advent, Lent, etc.)

We are called to communicate effectively and creatively to involve everyone in the congregation, and to ensure that:
Members of the congregation are well informed
People know where to find information
Members are educated on communication processes
Church Facilities
We are called to preserve our special historic site while still providing a facility to meet the needs of our growing congregation and community. Toward that end, we will:
Call forth the funds for short-term and long-term needs
Tailor facility plans to meet changing needs that have emerged from the Re-vision process
| Reassess the church building's strengths and weaknesses, determine priorities, and then act on these priorities
|
